My track bar and coil spacers came in today!! I got excited and put the track bar to gether ITS BEEEEFFFFFYYYYY!!!!!!
I also ground down the block alernator mount I picked up from the jy to fir my 136 alt. That e fan is putting quite the load on my poor little 90amp unit. I can feel the engine slow down with the a/c / headlights/ and fan on high.. I'm doing th e upgrade next week after my cables come in
Also I measured my 1"spacers and they're 1 1/4" yall think the weight of the vehicle will squish them down 1/4"??

Whats the 136amp Alt off of? And how did you have to modify the bracket to fit? Have a/c?
I know, I know...not fair, 3 questions in 1.

The alt is off a 1997 zj wit a 5.2L but some other chrysler based vehicles have them as well. Some even have a 160amp (I didn't need that much power tho)Originally Posted by ColdWarrior

The alt is bigger than the bracket so you have to gind the inside of the bracket about a 1/4" (I keept grinding and test fitting till It fit

And this mod has nothing to do with the a/c
It might require a slightly long belt because of the larger pully or you could swap your stock pully on the new alt. ( ittl charge better with the smaller pulley (I'd swap mine but im gonna use my stock one as a trail spare))

and I've still need to grind the outer bracket as well but ill use the one that's already in there cause its trimmed to clearance my rerouted belt alreadyAnd this mod has nothing to do with the a/c
