When your jeep is cool spin the fan by hand.. If it spins excessively then the clutch is bad. You should hear it when you come from a stop pushing air. On a past jeep of mine the thing was so bad that when I put the new one in it took some getting used to actually hearing it work.

Haha a couple HOURS. Yes that will do it that's for sure.

I thought about going with the efan.. But how do you regulate it? The motor dictates the manual fan and keeps everything balanced.. So how would you get that result with the efan?

ive had one of these for ilk 2 years still in the box http://www.dccontrol.com/relay_controllers.htm

its built specificly for non taurus uses of the taurus fan
it ties in to the ac clutch line to kick it in high as long as its engaged
other wise it kick on low at the temp you set it at

its adjustable andits got a temp sensor you wedge into the radiator

Do you have the infinity gold sound system? Could be the stock amplifier for the speakers...

It's either that or the acceleration sensor for the abs system if your jeep has abs..

No real updates today but I thougbt I'd mention that I was reading up on strokers and I'm really itching to build one.....lol

I also thought I'd explain my obejective for this build:

1. Have a capable offroad rig and daily driver
2. Keep gas milage at in the 16 to 20mpg range
3. Have a great performance curve.
4. Keep fab work to a minimum
5. Try to keep costs down as much as I can

My plans for the next few months:
-T-case drop
-Taurus fan mod.
-Get my exhaust parts on
-Ported t-stat housing/new t-stat/ flowkooler water pump
-63mm throttle body(stroked jeep)
-703 neon injectors (bought from Programbo)
- Front tow hooks
-Trim the rear fenders and quarters
-Do some paintin
-redo my alignment
-trans cooler
-Wheel spacers
- cowel intake
- get my secret brackets mounted up
-Continue cleaning the interior
- grand cherokee seats
- bulid my bastard packs
- Iro double sheer track bar
- iro lcas
- extended brake lines
- maybe a rear disk swap
- maybe a 29 spline 8.25 a buddy of mine is selling
- bump stop

Eventualy:
4.5"+/- of lift
33x12.50 M/T's
Skid plates
JCR front bumper
SYE
Maybe a ford 8.8
Regear to 4.56 with a front locker and maybe a selectable rear
99+ intake
24lbs Injectors

And the cu de gra.... a STROKER
I may start that sooner than later lol cause its one of the main reasons I wanted a 4.0 after researching what kind of project I wanted
