Default Project Peek-A-Boo

So I bought a 98 classic from a guy about an hour south of me, 8k in receipts for new engine, misc parts, 3" pro comp lift, new faux bead lock rims and some decent 31" pro comp AT tires. Got it for 2K though

Only issue is he had overheated it and the head gasket was cracked on the first cylinder causing a misfire.

Towed it home and put in a new thermostat, knew that it would be benched till the new head gasket so I went to work on the interior.

My daughter loved the car and starting calling it "boo" thus the name peek-a-boo. she didn't however love the nicotine infested headliner that was showering her in gobs on foam.

We pulled the headliner out and took the fabric off, the PO had stapled it up and it looked like a white-washed zebra. Ended up scraping it down to the fiberglass and shot it with some 3M bedliner from O'Reillys.

It looked great once we got it all installed and I did a LED light upgrade on all the lights while I had it all stripped down.

Only other thing I've knocked out so far is my antenna mount. A forum member named "98plum crazy" makes some awesome cb antenna mounts. I had to have one for my ham radio (storm spotting FTW)

Well it will go in for the headgasket next week, hate to drop 650$ on it but I just don't trust myself doing it and the shop I'm going to is going to take care of everything for that price.

So I did pillar lights, been a week or so ago but who is counting right?
I like them and they add a lot to off road driving.

Tonight I finished my fender flares and put on a light bar, still gotta get the lights but it looks great in my opinion. Fun little project making the mounts for it.

Also at the bottom is an awesome view of the truck actually high centered on its trailer hitch. Even better is the fact that all we had to pull it out were old seat belts. Kids always bring a good tow strap.

So today is headgasket day. Would like to shoot the Chrysler engineer that designed the radiator drain plug. Had to take off the front bumper to get to it.
