Found some frame rot under the hitch .
Maybe my gas tank relocation will be sooner then later, and il just plate the whole rail up....idk yet...there's some rot on the bottom side of it too.

Well dropped the tank tonight after work, backside of drivers rail is okay, solid enough to be hit with a small hammer and not break into a million pieces, shall see how much is there when I start grinding tomorrow. Passenger side is good.

And I found this. Lovely welded on rear shocks.

Keep finding more Frame rot in the rear rails. Sucks I didn't want to have to go through this...again... From just behind the front shackle mounts all the way to the front of the jeep is golden. Just behind there is a mess. Swiss cheese. It's got me in the dumpes about the whole project now. I'm not sure which route to take with it. Thought about plating it all, but just seems like a lot of work to do inside, around the bottom and tie to my stiffeners. Also contemplating cutting them clear off and making tube rails. Again, a lot of work...and would have to still do some plating. Its suppose to be wheelable in a month. Fml. Not to mention I have brand new shackle relocation brackets from HD (ones that give alittle lift) and if I cut the rails out, that install will also change/get difficult. She's throwing me some real curve ***** right now.

Well patched up the rot, installed rear stiffeners, and shackle relocation brackets, shackles and got it sitting on it's own weight again. Still need to work on getting the welded rear shocks off, decide what I want to do with the gas tank. Mid Frame stiffeners and long arms...then SYE driveshaft and she should be ready to rock! For now at least. Very success full day. Didn't take many pics tho . Forgot. Was just plugging away at it.

Looking good. It would seem as though the previous owner probably stored that jeep either in his yard or on gravel. I bought a "grandma" cherokee that has been sitting in a heated garage here in Ohio. It had typical Ohio rust, but nothing major.

Thanks man! Lol I've got double what I paid for the jeep into just parts lol. Gotta love it. And I haven't even been able to drive it yet! Sucks. May 3 is approaching quick. Making me kind nervous. Lol
