Sorry for the lack of updates. I seemed to misplace/lost the title and I have been talking to the owner who lives 3 hours away to get a duplicate printed. As of right now I'm not driving it because of the plates from 2009 that are on it. I hope to talk to him this weekend and get some 30 day temporary plates while we wait for the new title to come.

Thanks! It's an easy process here in South Dakota. You give the register of deeds $10.00 and the vin of the vehicles title you need and they send you a new one.

Well after a crazy holiday season I'm back to working on the XJ and I got my new title! I quickly trimmed the fenders by outlining the the tops of the old flares, I still need to clean up the cuts a bit. My buddy received all of the fiberglass in order to make some high clearance flares so that will be in order in the next few months. I took the roof rack off my Subaru and put it on yesterday, I think it looks ok but the over hang in the front does not look right to me...maybe some gutter mounts are in order.

Just sub'ed to your thread. I have enjoyed reading through it and really like what you are doing. One of these days, when I grow up (I'm only 55 ;-) I'd like to be able to actually do a lot of the things you and others seem to do with easy and a lot of skill... well ... probably not ... LOL. Anyway great work so far!

Thanks guys!! Well the XJ may take a drastic turn in funding. We are trying to get my wife to be a stay at home mom and this will be turning into my daily driver!!! Which in turns means I can sink more money into it! My plan is to still to have a running great driver for under 2K but after that point I may throw another 2k at it for nice things...such as a leather ZJ interior, overhead console, Full paint job, etc... I will keep you posted on the little details.
As for now, today is the first time I drove it to work. 31+ miles and it performed great. Although I really need to address the drive line angles and the lack of sway bars...scary at 55 mph...I should have parts ordered for all of that next week if all goes to plan. I think to get by I will extend my own sway bar end links by cutting them and rewelding them.
