Nope, but the crankshaft has play in it for whatever reason causing it to blow through rear mains left and right. Just tired of filling it up with, and smelling hot oil hitting an even hotter exhaust the motor I found is much easier than fixing the one that's in mine now lol
Was hoping to head to the glacier tonight, but no one was willing to make the 40 mile round trip with me.. Plus the crossings were a lil deeper than usual, but hey that's why I got a snorkel right??
I would have gone with you. Lol. And actually no that's not exactly what a snorkel does on a Cherokee. It helps a little bit but the 4.0 isn't exactly sealed. You have the distributor and such that aren't sealed so having a snorkel mostly pulls in cold air
Most motors aren't sealed lol.. I'm good til just over the tops of the headlights then it gets interesting any deeper... And it's a fun drive for sure, the day I got my 35s put on we went out there and got stopped by a huge bog...
This is about 15 miles back, 5 miles from the glacier. Might make a run this winter now that I got a rig with a working heater
Deepest I've been is just past my doors. Cab started filling with water and it scared me. Everyone else went around it.
I know how that is.. Went headlights deep with the stock intake (bad idea) and turned around to water bubbling through the doors. Only downside to the rigs I've owned is everyone makes me cross first.. Believe it or not, but I was always volunteered in my old truck because "I had a winch" lol. I don't see the logic in that but oh well
