I believe it was 16 gauge.... But it was just scrap I had laying around so I don't remember exact

It's just drywall tape haha. Works wonders when you gotta bondo some decent gaps

Read somewhere about the body flexing weird after a back chop. So I tested it out. I'd have to say I don't notice it
