WELCOME TO PROJECT GOLIATH
So I'm buidling my first jeep ( I'm 17 years old ) and want to share my progress, mods, repairs etc. Jeep will be basically build from scratch.
This thread will be filled up with pictures! stay tuned.

It's 2001 cherokee 2 door, with 4.0, automatic transmission, 231 t-case.

After first bath:

Then we moved to the bigger shop and I had to wait with the build

Few weeks ago I finally started!

I thought it's good to start with major repairs. So my engine didn't have good oil pressure. Pressure was about 25. I decided to took out the engine.

Of course I was doing it first time so it took me about a week to take out the engine.

It's finally out!

Then I took all the parts apart

It took me about week to prep everything, then I primed the engine and all parts. Ready for final color!

I decided to paint it black silver and red

Why did you take out the motor due to low oil pressure?

So first, it's easier to work on it when it's out. Second reason is I wanted to paint the engine and replace other parts in it. third reason is that the I will change the color of the car and I want to paint the engine bay too.

I'm basically rebuilding it now. About 70% new parts.
I also painted it while it's out

Glad to see the two door getting some love! Let me know if you have any questions regarding the doors. I did a lot of digging for a while looking for parts.

get the head magnafluxed, dont know if the xjs had the same problem with cracked heads but im assuming they did. my local machine shop charged me $25 to get my head tanked and mag'd, both of the 4.0 heads i had were cracked so i just bought a TUPY head so i wouldnt have to worry about cracking anymore.

I took out the transmission and transfer case today. It will make painting much easier.

When I took everything out I found a little spot of rust... ( It's Florida jeep )

Then I took out the rest of my interior

But what is this?!

The rusty spot is not that small when you touch it with the hammer...
