Default Project fix someones mess

this is my 95 xj. As you can see it was wheeled before I got it and some things were not done correctly. This thread I will be fixing issues as well as Making the jeep how I want it. I plan on using it as a daily as well as some trails and crawling. I dont plan on seeing much mud in it. I dont know much about the lift thats on it so if someone wants to give me a heads up feel free.

Thanks, I dont know off hand, But tomorrow when I work on it I will see if it says somewhere. The guy I bought it from Didnt know anything about besides that the 4wd wasnt working.Im still not even sure what size lift is on it, what axles/ratios.. anything like that. He got it in a trade. Its like I learn something new about it everytime I work on it.

and today.....SUCKED. I started by changing my valve cover gasket(cork, 5.99 at advanced auto).. only to find this.

ALOT of build up. But I cleaned most of it out, and will be adding some seafoam later to get the rest.

then I went on to my high pressure power steering line 20.00 at advanced auto. Changed it out and STILL have a leak somewhere..I will look into that further later.

Next I noticed my motor mount on the driver side was... well... gone.
so I picked up a new mount 19.99 at advanced auto.

I put my old dead battery on the charger last night so I could have some sort of power to the truck to try my new lights, still need to buy one to put it on the road, but the jeep fired right up with my old one.

next I went to the rear of the truck, where I heard a rattling on the drive home from buying it. Found out that the upper rear shock bushing was gone and the shock was rattling around. I removed the shock and noticed it was pretty short for having a 4.5 inch lift. so i went to the part store. They used stock replacement shocks on the lifted jeep.. And since this one is blown, im going to assume they are all blown. I guess I will be Buying new ones But cant afford it now. so if anyone knows where i can pick up a set cheap pm me.
