I wouldn't recommend removing rear leafs though. Could potentially lead to more axle wrap. Unless you fab up a traction bar, in which case go for it!

I cut the front springs on my "racejeep". I don't see why you couldn't cut yours. Cherokee coils are made is such a way that you can cut coils off of the bottom of them and still have them seat into the lower spring perches.

It ran pretty good, I didn't know better though. Cause once I re-geared and locked it felt so much better. Id say about 15mpg when I drive like a normal person. Does amazing in the mud, snow and little crawling I have done. Rausch creek this Saturday for my first time so I'll let you know after that!!

So I decided against hidden winch bumper, l decided to cut up the bumper I already had and welded up my winch plate to it. Looks like this right now.
It hanging in my shed right now, I'm painting it. Got a good thing going. Shake, paint and drink lol

And went to rausch creek yesterday for the first time. Wheeled for 10 hours did 22 miles of trails. So small rock rash, and some bent stuff. She worked every trail I took all the way up to red. Destroyed cemetery video coming.

On another note, I have this weird problem started two days ago. All my dash lights flash randomly. Also when my lights are off, when I step on the brakes my dash lights, turn signals and running markers turn on. It's haunted or something. Sometimes all three brakes lights stay on as well. Idk ground? Short? Fuse?

small update. i fixed my steering today. i always thought it was setup wrong. after a little research i found i was right. i mounted the steering stabilizer on the tie-rod rather than the drag link. and readjusted the drag link angle and greased everything. i have no more binding and full range of the steering now. would have loved to fix that before rausch. but cheers to me lol
