Got the longer rear brake line all finished up and bled. Also finished fabbing and mounting my new electric fan. Wired it to a switch in the dash for now, works great and moves a lot more air.

Bought a set of doors off a 97 and cut the hinges for my new quick disco doors. I love the larger window and they are all good metal, no rust.

Got the driver side door mounted and functional. Wasn't easy making the bolt plates to attach the striker but I love these doors so far. Gotta go to the junk yard this week and get the crank window mechanism and maybe the door panel. Not sure if i'm going to go with the stock panel or sheet metal doors. Also tried to replace the transfer case output seal (never done one before) and I broke my tail housing so that's another part from the yard that I need.

16 gauge steel, a nut, and my ****ty weld makes an easy bolt plate for the door striker conversion. Got the passenger door done tonight. Also finished up the flares finally. Ordered a new housing for my t-case, gonna take a few days for shipping so it's postponed again. I guess it'll give me more time to get the windows installed in the new doors.

Last night i finished shimming the new doors and adjusting the strikers. Sitting snug on the weather strip now when closed and shuts without slamming. Still waiting on parts till wednesday so the only thing i can really do now is body work and interior. I decided to see how much flex i had with the swaybars still connected and i can get the driver front 30" off the ground before the driver rear lifts off. No idea if thats good but i cant wait to drive this thing!! One more week!! Going to go get my CT lisence today and insurance next week.

I see u used non sealing butt connectors. U may want to put a bit of silicone in the end of them.. Just to keep out the water and dirt. It wont take long with water getting in there before you have issues with copper corroding. Then the little gremlins come out!

Yeah the connecters that I used I originally thought were heat shrink. First one just lit on fire lol. I'm going to redo it with proper connectors and clean up the wires that aren't being used. Eventually I'm going to use them for more lights on the bumper but I think I'm going to wrap the whole thing in plastic till I get a higher output alternator and like 4 more lights.

Thats a good idea.. heat shrink is the way to go.. just dont burn it or poke a hole in it..

Parts came in early today!! Right as I was driving away from the shop, the mailman showed up. Got the new tail hosing bolted up, fixed the leak on the new tranny cooler I installed and topped off the fluid. Took her for a rip down the street for the first time since November and it's running great. My alternator is crapping out on me though. Voltmeter was low and it started squealing on acceleration. I'm hoping the one off the donor will work for now. If everything goes as planned, I'll be wheeling this weekend!! Also loving how sexy the shop looks with the jeep and corvette in it.

Finally!! She's on the road. Legal and everything. Just took it out for the maiden voyage. The front end has some sway to it and the tires need balancing and my flywheel sounds like its hitting the shroud cover but i can drive it now!! So happy

Ok so i drove around a bunch last night and here's the list of noises i need to take care of. My back hatch rattles like crazy, i adjust the rubber bumps out as far as i could and it still rattles. The back seat also squeaks at the joint were it locks in when you fold it up. the driver side caliper rattles when not braking. the whole front end kinda sways while driving down the road so i'm thinking trac bar? The tires deffinitly need balancing. I think that my flywheel is also having issues. When i accellerate to a certain level (heavy load) it sounds like the flywheel is coming in contact with something. Not sure if that means its cracked or what. I checked the torque converter bolts and they all looks good. Also have to swap out my thermostat because when it was overheating i put in a 160 degree and now its running at 160 all the time now. Starts and idles fantastic though, no roughness, good voltage, good oil pressure. Mileage isnt looking to good but its a little early to say. Very happy just to be driving it though.
