Well im still debating a locker, but i did order the rear diff cover gasket the other day, so that should be here today.

I also 3D printed version 1 of a switch panel for my ash tray. I think im just going to add a few more switches, and print one out in black and call it good. The blue was just for trial, and because we have so much of it lol.

I also modified my bracket for my light bar. Its been crooked for a while, and i couldnt move it because my winch was in the way. I drilled a couple of new holes so i could move it up, and still be able to adjust it. I still need to do something about the "ears" on the mounting bracket.

I drove the ol Xj to work yesterday. We got like 9 inches of snow at work, but only about 3 at home. I decided to get some fancy long exposure pictures before I put the Xj away again for a while.

Well not much new here. Im going to pick up some 2x6 today or tomorrow and get started on the new rock sliders in the next week or so since the ones the PO installed are rotting off, and im picking up the jig to finally do the hack and tap. Im also hitting up the big jeep swap meet on Saturday in hopes of finding maybe some fender flares and a locker.....

Ive only had it out a handful of times lately, but its running strong. I just need to figure out how to straighten my steering wheel, its like 90 degrees off and starting to get on my nerves lol.

Sounds like maybe alignment issues? Unless you had that checked already I'm sure its a pretty easy fix to adjust your steering wheel. I honestly have never touched anything with alignments.

With the help of the little man, I washed and waxed the Jeep the other day. It looks alright, but i ordered up a high speed buffer, and some wet sand paper and cutting/polishing compound. Ill probably start on that next week after the new sliders are done.

It may not clean up the best, but im trying to make it look nice like it used to. I think it will look a whole lot different with the new 2x6 rockers, and they wont be all rusty.....

Those look great! One thing I would recommend is to provide some switch guards to protect the switch from inadvertent contact from dropped items and fingers...source: I've replaced plenty of avionics switches in the cockpit pedestal for precisely the same reason...

Well I did it, with the help of a good friend of mine. We started Sunday at 8am, and they were undercoated, and the jeep was parked by 5pm.

We cut out the 2x2 rockers that the previous owner installed (which must have been sheet metal, there was absolutely nothing left of them), and added some angle iron and got the new 2x6s welded in. It was a big project, but im really happy with how it turned out. In the future, I may cap off the ends, and tie it into the unibody stiffeners, but they will do for this year. They definitely arent moving no matter what
