Oh i also scored a set of stock fender flares and mounts. So in the coming weeks, ill be installing those, but relocating them to an inch or so higher than the stock location, so that the 33s dont rub on them

I just got word from the guys at work. They are going to polyurea coat my bumper for me on November 5th. I guess that gives me a couple of weeks to get it all welded and put together.

This is what they are coating it with, only in black.

How the heck do you buy that stuff? I went to their website out of curiosity and went to a couple of their distributors to get a price and got linked back to them, so I gave up.

I'm lucky enough to have the ability to do this at work. We sell the machines and pumps and everything that do it, so they are doing my bumper as a demonstration for all the suppliers that will be in town checking out how the machine works.

The machine itself is is upwards of $70k, so unfortunately I can't take it home and do the whole Jeep lol.

They have less expensive versions out there, but none are nearly as effective. This one sprays at high pressure/high heat, which means that it's completely dry and I can take it with me less than 10 minutes after its sprayed.

Well i started working on my fenders last night. I only got 1 done, and i taped the rear one in place. I also still have some trimming to do, but man, im really glad they are going back on, 1, to help with rain and snow flying everywhere, and 2, to cover up the rust on the rear lol. All together it raised the front almost an inch and a half, so hopefully that eliminates any rubbing. The rear i cant move much higher, but im ok with that.

I finally got my fender flares just about finished, just needs a little more trimming. Now hopefully i dont rip them off next weekend lol.

Next will be the bumper!! Im welding the stinger on and finishing it up on Sunday, then Friday it will be coated. Hopefully i can get it installed Friday night, and still be up early enough for deer opener on Saturday, then wheeling in the afternoon!

Well I finally got my bumper done. I like how it turned out, although I wish the stinger were a little higher up, so I could put the light bar on the bottom. The way it sits now, the light bar would interfere with the fairlead.... I may drill and tap a couple more holes, but the light would need to sit way far forward if the stinger.....

Well i relocated my light bar last night, and modified my bracket. This looks SO much better IMO, and i shouldnt have any clearance issues with the fairlead.

I dropped my bumper off with the guys in back this morning for coating. It should be done and on the Xj tonight!

Here she is so far. It dries black, but i took this literally seconds after the 1st light coat.
