Default Vaccum line

ok i have got my new head on. and everythings almost ready for me to fire it up and adjust the valves and get her ready to go but.... Remember the vaccum line that i mention was dry rotted cracked and unconnected when i got the vehicle. I cant find out where it connects too. It was hanging on the passenger side of the engine torwards the back but I have looked for 2 hours both from the hood and on the ground hugging the tranny and feeling aruond for a place to connect it.

Please and i may be able to have her up and running in a solid DD role this weekend

there is no valve adjustment unless it is different on the earlier ones they just bolt in and get torqued down

That head looks really nice. look up the vacuum diagram online, and you should be able to find out where it goes.

Found it. It goes to the vapor canister! I didnt see the connection as it was hiding behind some hoses that hang near by...

SHES ALIVE!!!!

Now as long as i can keep the rocker bolts from backing out all will be well!!!

Default head

oh yeah against the advice of many i went ahead and got that head you see from the ebay store. no one around here could touch that price.

but if anyone is looking for rebuilt heads or such i do recommend them the person who handles there net sales was great he double checked numbers to make sure i was getting what i needed. i was able to pay by card over phone which i prefer over putting my info on the web and the shipping was fast. bought and paid for on monday about noon and it was here wednesday afternoon. paid 275 for it and free shipping. i was very satisfied with it.

Default exhaust

The jeeps been up and runnin a couple days. The idle is a bit rough but its shaking from the rear and it sounds as if my Cat is clogged. also I found a hole in the tail pipe right after the muffler. A customer of mine where i work owns a welding shop told me to bring him my cat and he would gut it. as well as patch the hole in the tale pipe. I was going to just buy a new system but being the cheapskate i am I am not going to turn down a free offer. My jeep being a 93 means here it doesnt have to pass emissions it just has to pass the safety inspection so hopefully gutting the cat will fix my problem. Wish me luck!

Default breakin it in

Been a while since i updated. Everything is going pretty well with the jeep I should have put 1000 miles on the new head by the end of this coming week just have one issue. I also found my muffler was rusted out bad so i went to replace it. I scored a deal on a glass pack for 15 bucks and a friend of mine welds for a living he pieced it together for me. that puts me at just over 72o dollars in my jeep (including steaks and burgers for my friends who help me with the engine) argggg the labor costs.

I have one issue with its driveablity. At low rpms it shakes a little and jerks forward from the rear. It does that when driving 45 and its at 1500 rpms and also at 65-70 when its at 2000 rpms. I have been told that I need to adjust my TPS. can anyone help me with this. How do I adjust it (yesss i know almost nothing about jeeps. anyone have a write up or can you just tell me how to do it.

Thanks in advance

I'm in the same boat with my xj, I'm not sure on how to do much of anything to jeeps, so if someone can help use out it would be greatly appreciated.
