Project cheap heep
As some of you may remember iv build an xj (which I still have) it's lifted locked front n read and does great.
I decided to find something a bit more streetable that my women could also take down the trails when we decide to go play. At least I'll always have someone to wheel with then right? Lol.
Anyways,
Picked up a 95 zj
Already has a BB list
Beefy front bumper
Strong running 5.2/auto
116k miles
Leather seats n all the fancy stuff
And it was super cheap!
The bad
It's nasty on the inside
Missing rear bumper had has floor mats for mud flaps
Miss matched wheels/tires (though there all the same size)
Drivers door is TOAST and has a rope tied to the seat to keep it closed...
Charging system randomly decided not to work
Rusty rockers, plan to replace them with square tune for rock sliders
Not planning anything crazy with this, aggressive 31-32" tires (using a tire calculator my current tires are 31.9" tall so might be able to run 33"s? spool in the rear, fix it up n clean it!

Charging issue is in fact the alternator. When it quits working a few taps with a hammer and it starts charging again.
Pulled the wheels and found it has wheel spacers..
Then I put some 33x12.5 boggers on it. Needs a little trim to be able to turn full lock again, seems good other then that.
One of the fronts is close to bald, I'll be on the look for another bogger or even better a pair of TSL's for the front sense they steer much better then boggers.

New alternator works great.
Rear brakes were hosed, so picked up some rotors and pads. Caliper piston was stuck, ended up breaking the piston while compressing it with the c clamp. Luckily I still had zj calipers that I was going to use to convert my xj to disks, so I grabbed it and replaced the caliper as well.
Put a measuring tape to the coil spacers, it's a 3" lift.

Also one of the CV joints on the front axle is going bad. Clicks pretty good while turning.
Rather then fixing it, I'm going to begin my hunt for a xj HP d30, I'd prefer ujoints over the CV joints and the HP will be much stronger then the stock LP front end on this.

I have one under one of my parts rigs, but if memory serves me right it was a disco front end which is a no go in my books.
