Project Brutal XJ
This is my friend Aaron's 95 XJ...it's in progress. It WAS his trail rig...then his saturn blew up and since this has yet to break, he's DD'ing it now
specs:
5" RC lift (full springs no AAL)
3,000 miles on the 4.0 (I built it for him)
aw4
np231 (no SYE)
1.5" trans drop
dana 30 3.55 gears (plans to replace with fullsize or regear)
chryco 8.25 3.55 gears (plans to replace with fullsize or regear)
custom front bumper
unfinished custom in-cab snorkel
I'll let the pics do the talking. he's building the rock rails tonight, and we start building the new back of the cab next week...we are doing a cheromanche with this. it'll look better once the rear hatch is gone and the rear windows are gone.
cut rear wheel wells with YJ flairs
front side...removable skid plate
trans drop. temporary until belly skid is done
flipped gas tank and you can see the intake
lots of pics...I'll update as it progresses.

redone and rhino lined floors
engine bay
intake tube through firewall...still has to build a reinforcement ring to go around the hole, and seal it up
hood "vents"
Warthog tusks
driver's floor and you can see the intake tube. he's going to run that inside of 4.5" PVC to keep it out of his way

it has been. he can only wheel in wisconsin right now due to some restrictions (not a bad guy AT ALL just made a few mistakes), so he spends more time mudding than anything.
he aspires to be a trail junky
tail lights were done with a little coaxing by me lol...it'll look great when the back is all chopped off and they're not sunk in by the damned lift gate.

but yeah can't wait to help him get the chop top done. he's also doing an exo...and it will look as narly as the front bumper does, but be strong and capable.
I didn't think his welds and blocky design would look good at first...but it SOOO fits him and his jeep lol.
projectmayhem...good luck. It apparently wasn't all that hard.
the reciever on the front accepts his smittybuilt winch which is mounted on a winch plate with a reciever. he still has to hardwire the winch wiring to front and back...he's got quick disconnects for the wires and he will be adding a reciever on either side of the roof for self-recovery so he'll have extensions for all of the winch cables.
needs to upgrade his alternator to duals with 137A's
