Rear Bumper from Ares Fab is installed. Was a bit of a PIA. the shop neglected to mention that some sheet metal on the back panel had to be massaged to make the frame rail strips instertable through the holes where the nut strips used to be. with both drills dead, i resorted to a center punch and a BFH. Still need to to the Cut n Fold on the rear quarters. I am not impressed with the Bed liner spray from rustoleum. I will be stripping it all off and using actual paint. you an see places where it has rubbed off.

Well after a recent trip to North East Montana to hunt the pheasant opener, I got 10mpg on the return trip.......not to happy about that. no codes. I did have a healacious headwind, so that may have impacted me, however u have begun digging. I noticed after i installed the roof rack and put the tire on top, my mileage dropped form about 17 down to 15. will try moving the tire to the rear, but i dont think 80 lbs of metal with little wind resistance should impact me that much.

Changed engine oil and T-case fluid last night. I used valvoline max life 5w-30 in prep for winter here- mostly because it was on sale. Transfer case fluid was nearly brown and smelled burned, so it was due. I have the NP231, so ATF +4 was called for: I went with this: http://www.valvoline.com/our-product...fer-case-fluid Just over 1.2 quarts to fill. The fill plug is a 10mm allen key. In regards to my fuel mileage, I did notice she was running rich, backfiring when I rev and let off the gas in park. I suspect spark plugs, as i went with the Bosch iridium's instead of a copper core.

No recent pics as of today, will be doing differential oil changes saturday. I let the GF take the jeep for a 900 mile road trip over the weekend. she said it did good, except for after driving a while, the transmission got hot and wouldnt shift to well. Sounds like its time for a flush, filter and NSS switch cleaning. I am still chasing mileage issues. I am betting on spark plugs, Will be replacing those Saturday as well.

Project update: Changed out the Bosch Iridiums for basic Champion Copper plugs and gapped properly. no real notice in power or mileage. My last tank i only got 12mpg hand calculated and gps verified at 65 mph. Next on my list is a coolant temp sensor and injectors. Only thing i can think of is a failing injector. After that will be a new exhaust system. I am getting no codes whatsoever.

My Brown Dog Engine mounts are waiting at the post office, will install Sunday
Still waiting for Nates 4x4 to send me parts that did not arrive with the initial shipment of the roof rack. I will never ever do business with him again nor do i recommend it. The product is well built but customer service is what makes your sales. I bought the rack in August and i am still waiting on 2 tiny parts 3 months later.

The on going wait for my roof rack parts is still looming. Nate had shipped the missing roof rail mounting tabs, only to have them arrive like this...... He emailed me back today and said he will ship them again.

Update: I won the October COTM, so she needs to get cleaned up for a photo shoot Friday night. I also ordered a Raingler Net for the back hatch to keep the dogs and my gear separate. That should be arriving Friday. I also purchased a set of 784 injectors which are also in the mail and a magnaflow hi-flow Cat. Looks like i may be getting transferred to another city 100 miles away, so i may be swapping the Cooper PRO's for AT3's simply for highway manners.

Raingler net installed. I had mistakely ordered the mesh net, I wanted the webbing net, but i am glad i got this one, it keeps the dogs from wanting to put their head through the net when they see a pheasant on the side of the road.

Update: I grew tired of waiting on Nate's 4x4 to send me the pieces that never arrived from an order placed in August (It is now November!!!), so I left a nasty Email and said don't even bother shipping them, I will just eat the money I wasted. So I ordered the JCR Roof Rack Mounts and they are on UPS this very minute according to tracking. I highly advise to anyone DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NATE'S 4X4!!!

Update 2:
Got Bored last night and Measured and Sketched out a plan for a rear cargo storage box. This will in theory be tall enough to hold .30 cal ammo cans and the little canvas tool bags you can get from craftsman or snap-on. I needed it low profile to still allow for two 70lb labs to sit in the back but tall enough to store items. It will incorporate a hinged lid.

I will continue to support Nates4x4! I called him about my first generation gutter mounts and he mailed me a complete updated set for no charge. Whenever I called his shop, he answered.

As for the cargo box/false floor, I did the same thing and it works very well. Also cancels out some road noise. 3/4" plywood, 1" x 6" pine uprights. Secured to cargo tie-downs and bolted to floor.

Some people have good luck, others dont. A local guy with an MJ bought sliders and a bumper, it took him 2.5 months to get his order. I have had nothing but bad experience. voicemails, emails, and still 4 months later, my order is not complete.

Your Cargo design is actually what i am kind of basing off of. Except i am expanding the sides of mine to fit snug with the hatch and sides. I don't want a dog paw getting caught somewhere it shouldnt be. That would be bad on the way to or from a hunt!

Sorry this happened to you, send the JCR invoice and we'll cover it. Since this happened we are taking the initiative to build up our inventory on smaller parts so they are available for quicker shipment rather than waiting for our next cut list. I'll go ahead and send out more gutter mounts to you, in case the JCR ones don't fit our rack correctly.

Nate: I appreciate the offer to re-imburse, but i am not worried about it. Im not to worried about being out the $35 for 2 extra mounts from my order either, mistakes happen and they are small parts, but having to wait 4 months for something that takes 5 minutes to cut and drill is rediculous. The JCR ones fit better anyways as the rack sits lower to the cab since i do not have the stock cargo rails. To me Customer Service is what makes or breaks a deal. The quality of the cargo rack is Phenomenal! but this waiting thing is a bit rediculous for such a small part that was initially missing from the order. I could go down to my local metal shop and have them do it while i stand there. Again, I love the rack and the build quality, but the speed of service, support and time is what has turned me off.
