This is my new Jeep a 1996 Sport. It came with a 3 inch lift, and 31 inch Destination AT's. Since taking ownership I had my mechanic replace the two rear shocks, and change all the fluids/filters.

My future plans include:
1. Replace the fan shroud.
2. Paint the stock wheels.
3. Find a 31 inch spare tire.
4. Bed line the speakerbar.
5. Clean the seats.

A little Info:
1996 Sport
3 inch lift
roof rack
4.0 Liter Inline 6
AW4 Transmission & NP231 Transfercase

I could also use advice onwhat recovery gear to cover. For example if I get a flat should I have a high lift or just a board to set the stock jack on? Also will the stock jack work with a 3 inch lift?

Any ideas on recovery equipment?

Personally I think the high lift jack should not be used to replace a tire in any scenario
A floor jack would be better to use but if you dont want to lug that around a bottle jack may work, I haven't actually tried though

By the way I really like the way the stock wheels look when they are painted black. I want to find a set and paint em, and they are cheaper because everyone gets rid of them

Im painting the Jeeps wheels today. First we sanded, and then started painting. The wheels are getting 3 coats of primer, and 3 of Black Gloss Krylon. Hopefully it turns out looking good.

I also took the trim on the sides off and will be bed lining the bottom of the doors and fenders where the molding was.

Someone told me its the keyless entry antenna.

That thing is the keyless entry sensor.

So while waiting on some help to put the tires back on I painted the grill trim.

Here are the tools I put in the Blue Jeep today.
1. Tool Box containing - Hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, socket set, duct tape, electrical tape, rope, recovery strap, fuses, plyers, razor, zip ties, extra tubing, and other misc stuff.
2. Crate - air pump, jumper cables, electrical cable, rope, and misc tie downs.
3. Im on my way now to get a fire ext and mount it in the trunk.
