project big black cherokee
i got my jeep about 6 months ago and ive been working on it slowly ever since
so ive decided to make a build thread to get some ideas and tips on improving and upgrading my cherokee
so here it goes...
this is my jeep as she stands right now

blazzer basterd pack in the back with chevy 1500 3'' drop shackle and 2' lift block - about 8.5'' lift
3'' lift coils up front - just till i get the 3 link done and put in the 9'' rustys coils
my goal is 10'' lift on dana 60s on 35x13.5 tires - we will see how that goes

i bought the jeep for 500 bucks with a cracked block, but the body and interior is in almost perfect condition
me and some of my budys got a new block from a junk yard 88 cherokee that ended up being 20 bored over and used it for the new motor
-sorry i dont have any pictures of it, i broke the phone that had all the pictures :\

after the motor was all done
it was time to work on the suspension
we got the parts form a junk yard
a pair of chevy blazer leafs and ford f250 coils - learned about the junk yard lift right here on the forum
well the lift when in as smooth as can be and it was sitting a little low in the front with the f250 coil so we hatched our first bad idea
3'' homemade spacer
made from a basketball hoop pole found in my friends back yard
besides that it looked atrocious it was very unsafe because of how little the coils were actually in the bump stop
but the worst part was when we tried to flex it
the leafs worked just fine but the coils on the other hand they didnt move at all and we almost flipped the jeep because of it
oh and did i mention that the only brakes we had at the time was my s### parking brake that was our 2nd bad idea
but luckily nothing bad happened and that was the day that i was iinsired to add a full exo cage to my jeep

this is a little project i started today between moving the lawn and it starting to rain
its the air tunnel to the back seats and since i took out my back seats and seat belts i wont be needing it
so i started cutting it up to make for more heat for the front
heres how it turned out

then wala the job was done
now it sends out lots more air to the front

i did the cut and fold a few weeks ago and i think it turned out really good
i wanted to space for my dual exhaust that im going to be adding soon
and wile i was there i threw some duplicolor bedliner on it to help reduce trail scars showing on the black pain
oh and you could probably already tell but i have already done tthe fender cuts to the front and back

very nice, can't wait to see it on 9" lift coils, I really want to do that heater re-routing though I'll keep the back seats and to hell with passengers in the back
