Project "BEER BUDGET"
Welp here goes nothing I just joined less than a week ago. Picked up my 88 xj laredo for 300 bucks. Radiator was shot, couldnt recognize the motor from so much grease, front end and fenders were off and most of the door panels pulled off. She wasnt much to look at! I hesitated on buying her I told the PO that I have to hear it run for me to buy it. We jumped it and she idled nice suprisingly........... It was 65 miles away with no trailer so I came prepared with a 92 on up radiator and heater control valve since the po did the wp,thermostat, alternator and drive belt. About two hours later i drove her home!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been cleaning her up slowley found fenders, put the interior together and front end. etc....... down fall i found rusted out floor boards but its not the end i found new ones for 95 each. Right now it has crappy brake pressure but im eliminating possibilities till i find the culprit. Last night I ordered Rough Country's redisgned 3 inch lift for 291 shipped. It will be my dd since I started a new job with Direct TV. I have champagne dreams on a beer budget especially with my 3rd kid on the way but I love my jeep and need something to take to the lake and dd/enjoy. hope I can update regularly and will upload pics shortly!

Nice! For some reason I really like that "off" white color that cherokees came in. If you're talking about a transfer case drop then you might need one. People usually get varied results from lifting their jeeps. I think the people with the 231 transfer case and dana 35 rear axle get away without vibes the most. Best of luck!

My last cherokee was lifted 3" at one point without a t-case drop and it had the 231 and 35 so you should be fine. I like that new cream color that comes on the JKs and grabber blue from the mustangs

Pulled the side moldings off today found more rust. Bought a paint stripper for my drill and went to town removed all the crap then sprayed the lower doors with a rubber undercoat it looks alot better
