Let me know if you run into any snags on the spartan install. You shouldn't, pretty easy install. Just get yourself a stick magnet and some type of pick. Will make removing and reinstalling the c-clips much easier. Coating everything in some assembly grease when you install will also help components stick where you put them and help lube everything up until the gear oil gets distributed.

I was wondering about the c clip install process. The instructions say nothing about them and it doesnt look like much room to deal with. Ill coat everything in grease but if I have any issues, I might just need to call you. I have a stick magnet and picks to choose from so not worried about that part. Thanks for the input. You will be the first to hear about any problems I run into haha. Hoping it goes smooth though.

Things did not go as planned today. I got the leafs and relocation brackets put on. But even with the shackles at a 45° angle, it ended up at about a 6.5" lift. Not good. So I pulled the relocation brackets back off and just mounted everything like normal. Since I have 6" shackles now sitting at a 100° angle, its about a 5.5" lift. Guess I need to get a different shackle relocation kit. Something that wont lift. Here is a picture so you can all get a good laugh.

It's difficult at 3 to 4" lift height to incorporate shackle relocators, longer shackles and decent leaf packs without going over the 4" mark.
No lift shackle relocators are the only option if you want to run all 3 together, which you really don't have a choice if you want it to be effective.
I love low Cog but have compromised and decided to go 5.5" myself.

You have the same dent in your door, that I think every Cherokee has. Maybe it came from the factory that way? LOL

Quote; Nope, just standard 10w-30 non synthetic. Probably only has 300 miles on it. And dont sell the XJ!

Well it wouldn't be for several years and only if I get to the point of not using it as intended. But if I can use it like I did yesterday about 7-10 times a year I'll surely keep it.

You could try taking a leaf out of the leaf pack if you're determined to run the relocators/extended shackles.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am fine if it ends up at 4.5 but thats max. So most likely ill be doing a different shackle relocation kit. What about if I threw some stock shackles in? How much less flex do you think I would have over longer shackles at the correct angle? I really dont want to take a leaf out but I will if it is needed.

Haha I know what you mean. I got a matching one on the other door. And my last xj had dents in the same spots. Must be a factory option

While I figure out what to do with the rear height, I decided it was locker time. Went pretty smooth. The whole c clip part was not fun. Took a little time but all seems to be good. Headlights are in as well.

Nice job on the locker...Diffs intimidate me. I paid someone to do my front spartan install.

I actually bought the trucklites for my rig a couple of years ago when it was still fairly stock, drove it for a couple days and didn't love the ghost spots/hot spots it gave off. I realized my heating/cooling system was crapping out on me, so I returned the headlights to buy a new radiator and stuff. I have regretted returning them because I didn't feel like I had them long enough to appreciate them. I am going to buy them again one day.

Took the Jeep out tonight on a local trail to test out the upgrades. Yep, should have done a locker a long time ago. Huge difference. The extra travel helped out too. I also have to say that the 5100s have a great ride to them. Very happy I went with them. The new truck lite head lights are just amazing. Successful day!

I wouldn't remove a leaf.
Either use the no lift shackle relocators or you can try a shorter shackle.
Something like a 1" lift shackle may help.
The iron rock offroad shackles are nice, I replaced my skyjacker 6" shackles with the IRO shackles and love them.
