My 2001 grand cherokee limited is almost 11 years old and has been stock it's entire life it was handed down to me for my 18 birthday and It time for an overhaul.

The plan
4in rough country lift
Skid plates
33x11.5r16 Mickey Thompson claw ttc radials
Lone star racing incline front winch bumper
Custom cherokee 4x4 rear bumper with spare rack
And engine rebuild seeing as it has 207900 miles (also including tranny flush and diff flush and rebuild on front and back)

Change of planes going with IRO 6.5 lift with same tiers new engine with tranny at 250,000 miles
The nv242hd transfer case so I have selctrac
Upgrade diffs lockers
Drive shafts
IRO rock sliders
Of that a custom designed full skid plate seeing as no one makes them for wj
Current mileage 210,890

I have 33 12.50s on mine but had to cut the fenders. Now building my own fender flares out of rolled 16 gauge sheet metal with 1" tube welded the whole way around the edge of the flares. Looks like I'm gonna have some questions that I may need help answering when I get to the things like differential and such but I'll get back with you on that.

Sounds great and by the way it looks great I'm trying to find an xj 2 door for a decent price and I will be chopping that yea I know kinda a common thing to do but I love my wj to much to cut into it part of the reason I don't want to trim the fenders

Gas mileage went up 6mpg from 10 to 16 and not much real performance. Better throttle response and a heck of alot better noise got rid of the whinny 4.7 and gives it a real v8 noise don't really need exhaust now

And I can't stand autos to jeep did make them in stick with a 5speed or a 4 but very few where made because this was the time the entire car industry started pushing the public towards auto in every car (more expensive to buy then stick) and I have been looking for a manual wj no luck yet (I've driven both off road tho a manual 1987 k-5 blazer and my auto jeep offroad I'd say auto is superior because you don't have to worry about sifting when you get in some bad situation it does have its advantage tho of being able to choose the gear you want for certain things)
