My buddy did this in his home and it was so cool. He wanted a lift too but that meant turning the first floor into some kind of opening-floor hatch into the living room and his wife wasn't having that
Any pics of his ramp and garage door? I'm a long way away from doing that, but I'm interested to see one way it was done. I have enough room for a lift but I wouldn't be able to stand under the vehicle (need another foot or two) so I don't know that I will.

Thought it would be fun to drive up on one of the stumps, found out instead of "mad flex", I have "sad flex". Sway bar still connected obviously. Maybe I'll take it off as my sway bar bushings are shot and see what happens. No play money or time available to do jeep stuff so I have fun when I can.
Found a free hour, quick update. I installed driver side axle shaft, wj knuckle, brake bracket and caliper and one wheel to check clearances. I was happy to see it basically only rubbed the paint off the caliper and inner wheel. The tire spun with almost no resistance, however the wheel weights would get ripped off right away if I ran it as is. So, I plan to grind the calipers a bit. If it still rubs the weights, I'll look into alternative methods of tire balancing. Grinding is free though, and I don't envision having to grind much.
wheels are 15x8 ET-19 or 3.75" BS American Racing AR23 alloy.

I'm planning my WJ knuckle swap and was considering these wheels. I could never find any definitive answers if they'd fit, do you have more details and current pictures you could re-upload, damn photobucket!! All the pictures are gone from the majority of older threads, it sucks!!
Anyway, what calipers you running, Akebono? Would offset tre's fit? I'm trying to stick with 15" wheels, but want aluminum, these seem to be the best option with 3.75" bs.
Akebono calipers fit with a very light grinding. Before grinding, it rubbed essentially just past the paint layer. I took off more than needed.
My offset 1 ton tres from ruffstuff did not fit if I wanted to turn the ar23's, even with grinding. The steel wheels I had on the other jeep, same specs, fit fine. Couldn't turn with the aluminum wheels and the offset tres. Had to put steel wheels on it to move back home
I can get other pics of my mostly complete setup if you want. Jeep progress is halted because reasons

I'm not sure if I need offset tre's, but that might make my decision to go 16" instead, I'd like to have the option for those if needed and just to make everything clear for sure. Then of course I have the problem of too little backspace. I'm wondering if 4.5" backspace will cause 33x12 tires to contact the long arms at full lock.

Also if you plan to offroad in any mud; rocks and things tend to get wedged between the rim and caliper. Makes wonderful noises...and rust. If I ever go big brakes it'll be on 16's or 17's for that reason alone.

Well that's not what I wanted to hear!! But good to know in advance, thanks. I really don't want to run 16" E-rated tires, I just don't think I'll be happy with how stiff they are. What about 15" steel with maybe 3.75" backspace, is there the same problem with caliper clearance being extremely tight?
I have one or two 16x8" aluminum rims in mind, but they are 4" and 4.25" backspace and I don't think that will work well with my 8.8 out back, I think the tire will rub the inner fender well fully stuffed and articulated, not sure though.
