Hi guys,
New to the forum and instead of posting in the introduction forum I decided to start off here. I recently picked up my third XJ. It's a 1997 sport, 160K, 4.0, 5 speed Ax15, RCX 4,5 inch lift, 15 inch Black rock Lobo rims, 33/12.5/15 Goodyear Duratrac. The Jeep is originally from Virginia so no rust, a big plus in New England. What really drew my to this jeep was the fact it had no rust, the 5 speed(all previous jeeps were), the factory options(skidplates, heated mirrors, buckskin interior, and the infinity sound system), the lift was already in it, and the unique badges. So far I have put in a rightside wheelbearing, right side caliper, brake pads, adj. tracbar end, blower resistor, and installed a deck. Also washed it,claybared it, waxed it, full interior detail, and smoked the markers/taillights. This is my daily driver, but will see occasional wheeling.
To do list:
Tint(will be done this month)
Header(there's a small crack in mine)
Paint axle housings and underneath black again(PO painted red)
Install O2 sensors after I put in header
New crackshaft position sensor
Headliner(PO ripped the old one out)
Rampage Headlights
New rims and tires eventually
So here she is when I got her:

Took it offroading. Nothing too crazy, as I just got it and didn't wanna push the limits, but it preformed well. The rough country lift doesn't flex as much as I'd like. And it rides really rough so maybe I'll replaced it someday. Only got one pic cause my camera died.

Next I painted the fenderflares and bumper end caps gloss black. Also removed the side moulding from the doors. Looks much cleaner in my opinion.

And that's how she sits today. I've been driving it for 3 weeks now, averaging between 17 and 20 mpg, which is great considering my last rig got 6 mpg. I'll be picking away at it and slowly making it mine.. and taking lots of pics along the way. I know everyone loves pics
Feel free to leave your opinions, feedback, and any tips/pointers. My name is Drew btw. Thanks for the looks.
