I work at a quarry. The grill is made of a piece of a 3/4" aggregate screen. I'm sure there is an aggregate producer in your area. Ask them for a chunk of old screen. They'll probably give it to you for a sixer of PBR. Pretty tough too. This screen had about 500 hours of rock smashing on it before it went on the XJ.

My God man! This is the baddest most a$$ kicking thread in the world!
Thank you kind sir! All Hail the PBR Cherokee!
I found it looking to get ideas for a homebrew rear bumper and BAMN. I got slapped in the face with Awesome Sauce! Literally... The beard on my face is dripping with it. I need a super soaker full of PBR to blast my face fur clean!
Your welding and fabbing skills are top notch and I believe you will go far in whatever endeavor you set out in. I just wish I could hang out in the cave and help for an evening getting three sheets with you and Tommy!

Subbed, and liked n shared on FB!
New Mexico is a hell of a long ways from Canada, but I swear I will make it someday with a trailer full of PBR!

If I didn't know any better,

I'd say you have a drinking problem.

That's actually a great idea.. hows it hold? Does it rattle?

I may weld some spikes onto the front, for those people who tend to make sudden stops.

Solid as a swimming pool in January.
I welded some washers to it so it would mount to the factory plugs.

"Solid as a swimming pool in January".

Why have i not thought of this...

But, i'm going to try this sooner or later. I was always interested in doing something like this guy's grill.

But, then BAM you've given me a strike of brilliance--
Combine the two.

I have a pic of me in diapers draining what was left of a can of Pabst with my Dad next to me. He was also a Marine, small world.

This was my Dad. http://www.donrearic.com/dad.html

If you scroll down you will see a very definite picture of him with a Pabst and if you look close at his arm, you will see a USMC Tattoo.

I'll put the other pic I was talking about up on the website later today and post a link to it.

I used to have the picture IN that article but you would not believe the number of people that gave me grief and bull**** over it.

Thanks. I meant to ask you what thickness metal did you use for those armor panels and did you flux core or mig weld them? Just curious.

Sounds like a drinking problem is the least of his worries. Awesome Sauce?

I like that the license plate stayed at the angle it was.

I used 10 gauge sheet metal.
I use .030 solid wire with Blueshield 8 Ar/CO2 gas.
