Nice looking truck! I found an MJ once... It had bucket seats and a cter console like in a Cherokee. I wish I could have picked it up.
It has an aftermarket mechanical oil pressure gauge in the dash bezel and I broke the oil line that leads to it

At least if oil is all over everything the rust will stay away! Haha. Someday I hope to find an HO MJ for a reasonable deal.

Had that happen once on a non-jeep vehicle, but the oil was shooting on my leg, so I kinda knew about it right away.

Finally an update!
Fixed the rust spot, ground down all other surface rust and threw some primer on it.

Cleaned up the carpet and all other trim pieces

Then installed a new stereo system (old system was shot and from the 90s)
I went with an 8" sealed kicker sub, 2 pioneer 6x9s, and 5.25 pioneers for the doors, all powers by a 700w Sony amp. It sounds good now but still needs tuned.

I'm so happy I finally got around to doing this haha

SHEESH! You must have short legs, man. At 6'1, I have to have the seat all the way back in an MJ... kinda jealous that you have that much room behind the seat. Not that I have an MJ, but that is one of the reasons I DON'T have one. Kinda only big enough for ME in the cab of 'em.

I'm 5'8" but the seat still moves back the perfect amount for me to be comfortable

lol... yeah that's a 5" difference. For comparison, I had an '88 GMC 1500 that I had to move the seat all the way back to fit in as well. Wasn't very much room for subs at that point.

Couple small updates.

Found some cup holders from AutoZone that fit perfectly

Operation Clean-manche-20170526_183404.jpg

A buddy of mine broke the little ash tray/ change thing in the middle of the dash on accident, so I put this in to fill the ugly open spot for now. Made it a little less of an eyesore, but not by much haha

Replaced the headliner, finally!

Also replaced valve cover gasket, upper radiator hose, and front brakes and rotors.

Got some bigger plans for the future, but just gonna chip away at smaller things for now. Should have another update by the end of the weekend!
