A little cleaning, wire wheeling, primer, and flat black rattle can for a quick fix. Wrapped up in some 31x10.50 BFG AT's, good to go.

I was going to leave mine factory silver but after seeing your Canyon rims painted black, I am doing mine like this. Man those look good!

What kind of primer and paint did you use?

Thank you! I am glad they had some scratches and clear coat peeling to make me do it.

I used a wire wheel just to scuff, some rustoleum self etching primer, and just some regular rustoleum flat black. Thought about going with a fancier paint but flat black is easy to fix after a few dummy marks from the trail.

I read a bunch of reviews on here, naxja, and jeep forum. Pretty good reviews all the way around.

I love the trail worn look as much as the next guy... but it sure is good to see the old girl waxed up and looking pretty!

A little rubbing compound, clay bar, hand wax, and 4 hours is all it takes.

Build is lookin great, and those stickers are really nicely done. I used to go to Bethesda to visit the guys there, it's rough but I never seen such a group of motivators.

Well, if money and fab skill were not relevant, I'd switch out to full widths. I would really like to go 44's front and back, but the availability and affordability of the 35 is tough to pass up. Probably go with that for now.

Thanks!

I was stationed at Ft. Myer (Arlington, VA) and got to meet a lot of guys at Walter Reed. One of our duties was the dignified transfer of remains that were flown to Dover from Afghanistan and Iraq. The privilege of being the first soldiers to carry them home in the US was one of the top honors I had, a close second was meeting the wounded warriors and seeing their determination to heal and help their fellow soldiers/marines/sailors get back to some sense of normalcy. I can't imagine how hard it really is, so I will support them with everything I can.
