well little update last thursday i drove the jeep through some high water and she spit and sputtered and then idle smoothed out drove her a little bit then got her home all seemed fine fired her back up after about 15 minutes and she started running like crap so i turned around and took her back home by the time i got her in the garage she died and wouldnt turn over anymore so i thought i might have hydro locked it so i pulled the plugs and tried to crank it over i was able to get a few cranks out of her then seemed like battery went dead so i put everything back together and again battery was dead put it on the charger and acid started boiling out of the top so i took it out and took the starter to get tested now i have a bad starter and battery cant find anything else out till i get those replaced this weekend. in the mean time i figured since she was already down i would go ahead and do my tcase swap and get the 242 put in so today i got the 249 out and tomorrow i will be putting the 242 in ill update with pictures soon

ok here is some pics of the tcase swap got it almost wrapped up just waiting on getting a new tranny mount since ive got the old one out right now but here is what i have so far
here is old case removed

the transfer case swap is done and working great the motor turned out to be not hydro locked and it just fried the starter and battery i picked up a new starter yesterday and pulled the battery out of the farm tractor and she fired right up i went ahead and did a oil change just to be safe got all the fluids topped off and she is running like a champ now! just need to make some custom tcase linkage to eliminate all the stock bull**** and should be good to go! ive missed driving her its good to have her back up and running
