Oh and to answer your second question I've never offloaded this, yet I have solid indentations in my bump stops. BEFORE I did ANY suspension work it would already pull the drivers front tire, now it's either gonna be way faster, or better yet be a little faster but pull a full fledged wheelie. And if you are in a cherokee that pulls a wheelie, you automatically win.
Well the sway bar should really help with that, if it's were to ever be an issue, but before it becomes a big deal I'll have my traction bar setup in place, forcing the jeep straight.
Well the mods helped tremendously. The sway bar and shock mounts really kept the rear end in check. I'm still having some axle wrap to.deal with, which springs and traction bars will take care of. The limiting chain really helped keep the front end in check and keep it straight and fast.
Put a GPS in it. That can tell you 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile E/T's, the whole smash.
Not the same as a time slip, but it'll give you an idea of where you're at.
Or, if you're ECU is OBDII, you could run all that info to a laptop.
My friends son used SniperII (IIRC) software on his Hondas with an old WinXP Dell laptop.

Hey guys, sorry I been quiet for so long, I've opened my own shop in my time away. I've been dealing with all the stress and work that comes with opening a new business, but the good news is now I should be able to get even more serious about going fast in the RaceJeep. I've gotten some more unofficial passes in, but we once again missed our chance at running the quarter at the track by the end of the season. We don't have anything local, and by the time I could make the trip fit the schedule, the track was closed due to weather.
I'll keep you guys in the loop as soon as we make some substantial progress, just didn't want to let ya think we gave up on it.
Also, "unofficially" it's much faster than 14.6, fyi ....
I don't really want to release any speculation until I make a couple passes this season. It will let me know if my goals are realistic or not. But I will say my long term goals are to be the fastest jeep powered cherokee. Whether that's a 4.0, stroker, turbo, sc, or whatever someone comes up with.
Well I'm coming up on the beginning of my local race event, so I figured I'd better get to working on making the RaceJeep ready. Ordered a bunch of new parts and they are supposed to be here In just a couple hours. Can't wait, really hoping for measurable gains.
I've also put some thought into the type of motor I'm gonna build after this 4.0 kicks the bucket...But I got 2 problems, one, I don't want to pull the motor until I put down a nice stock 4.0 pass at the track. And two I've been called out by a few locals for my first event, and I'm concerned me pushing the limits In the name of the challenge, May leave me without a 4.0 to make a pass with....oh the problems of racing....
