New Project - 1997 Cherokee Sport
Decided I wanted a 5 speed cherokee recently and to put my '01 up for sale. Found the exact one I wanted in Loveland, CO. (620 miles from Enid, OK.). Left here Friday night around 11pm our time and made the trip to Colorado. Got there around 8:30am there time, picked up the Jeep and checked out the scenery for awhile, and drove back leaving there at 11pm their time and got back to oklahoma Sunday morning around 10am our time.
Drove it 700 miles home with no problems, drives and rides very nice. Plan on swapping my lift and tires over from my '01 until I can afford to go 33's, repainting the moldings and flares this weekend and cleaning her up and changing all the fluids.
Its a '97 Jeep Cherokee Sport. One owner and been in Colorado its whole life.
Specs:
169,000 miles
4.0l Engine
5-speed AX-15 Trans.
NP231 T-Case
Dana High Pinion front axle
Chrysler 8.25 rear axle w/Trac Lok
Up Country Suspension Package
(Gas tank, T-case, Front shock skid plates)
(Heavy Duty Cooling)
(Heavier Duty Suspension)
(Front and rear Tow hooks)
and a Reciever hitch.
This is how I survived the drive.. 6 or 7 of these on the way back.

Thank you! Only one on Autotrader in my price range.. lol Plus the drive was worth it, Colorado is a big change from Oklahoma. Way too beautiful! Plan on going back once I get a few things done, so I can enjoy some trails in the mountains.

Some pictures from the weekend, lift, tires, sway bar disconnects all installed. Need new tires though:/. The mud was pretty soupy and slick, got stuck one time in about 2 foot or so of water and nasty mud.
This is where I got stuck.
New fog lights installed
Found a hole in my firewall.
and my Jeep next to a stock one.

Update:
Finally got in my new rims and tires. Thanks to discount tire and four wheel parts.
32x11.50 hankook dynapro MT's on 15x8 procomp 51 series steel wheels. Next week I am ordering a back window rack from Dirtbound offroad and then saving for 4.10 G2 gears and possibly a front locker.
While my XJ was down for almost 2 months I was able to fix some small things and do a tune up. Replaced plugs, wires, air filter, crankcase valves/hoses, thermostat w/gasket, upper radiator hose, and installed a new oil filter housing (mine was missing) all through mopar. Also swapped over battery and tray from my '01 so I can have a bigger group size battery and installed my Warrior Products gear box stabilizer and rubicon express extended rear brake line. lol

Over the last week, I have been trying to get rid of my death wobble. Last weekend, I installed a Rusty's drop pitman arm and re-adjusted my trackbar after measuring and realizing I was about a quarter inch too far to the passenger side.
While putting everything back together, I realized my Pro-comp stabilizer was leaking pretty bad (less then a year old) and ordered a new Rusty's Offroad one. A bit nicer then my Pro-Comp and the same price, the rusty's has polyurathane bushings and a bigger body.
My death wobble seems to be gone now! Just need to align my steering wheel.

Just ordered some interior LED's yesterday Floor and Map lights, and an AntennaX 13" euro antenna.
Plans as of right now (saving up for):
4.10 gears
Front lockrite
Rusty's Fr. Diff. cover
Upgraded Fr. Pinion Yoke
Fr. Upgraded axle tube seals
New Axle U-joints
And hopefully Chromo axles (By the end of the year.)
AND then I'm going to start saving and piecing together for a 5.3l/6.0l swap in the cherokee.
