Just picked up this clean '99 XJ today for $400 needs tires and a tranny...also picked up my buddies tranny out of his old xj...score on a new daily driver



its got 180k 4.0, aw4, d30, c8.25, np231 i think, cruise control, nice cd player, tinted windows, rain gaurds, no rust, trailer hitch...

 

damn, that's crazy clean for that price!

 

so most likely now own an hp dana 60 won't do anything with it for a while but when i'm ready it'll be there might be getting a d60 rear with disc brakes as well...

 

had an awesome time at The Great American Jeep Rally saturday love having a locker it makes the jeep so much better....

 

ended up winning a $150 gift certificate to Advance Adapters, a sweet dash mount for gps/ cell phone, without realizing it a pair of jks quick disco's for a jk, a $100 off a rear bumper with tire carrier from AtoZ fab which unfortunately only makes wrangler bumpers, a big jeep stein, and a jeep beach towel...

 

had my wheel fall off this morning no damage (stripped studs due to wheel spacer loosening up) and used it as an excuse to mount the rims i got yesterday

 

So went on a wheeling/camping trip this past weekend and it was an amazing time saturday was a bonfire/ pig roast/ drink lots of beer then camp out in a field surrounded by jeeps thenw ake up sunday and wheel an awesome trail... dont have lots of wheeling pictures might end up with more as people upload) we had like 25 jeeps and a lot were xj's












ended up breaking a u-joint on the way home over a bunch of potholes...on a sidenote sold the 2-door i had sitting around to BarrelMaker so now i got some cash to fix things on this one and modify some more things...stay tuned

picked up some new rims for the 35's im gonna be getting:


i have wanted these rims since i got into jeeps... also had to re-do my exhaust cause it was so annoying it was breaking off before the muffler and tailpipe was bent into the gas tank skid...found my shackle bushings are shot went to order some but rubicon express sold multiple size pieces so i have to remove my shackles to measure then order correct bushings...

 

Got my JCR offroad quarter guards mounted today...

replaced my rear shackle bushings...and i thought it was safe to assume that rubicon express bushings for rubicon express shackles would fit no problem...wrong they had to be trimmed to fit....

 

Officially have 35's now....
