Hey all im a new guy here who's been lurking around checking out all the builds going on. I currently have a 1995 cherokee that I bought for 400 bucks because the previous owner thought the head gasket was blown. i plan on doing a 3" lift probably a rough county only because of a limited budget. I've put a 1000miles or more on the cherokee with no overheat problems whatsoever so im thinkin the head gasket is fine although the valve cover and oil adapter are leaking like a faucet..just started on the tear down here are some pics.

so far I replaced the valver cover gasket with the felpro perma dry gasket and the thermostat .

Well that sucks. Can't help you with the potential ZJ motor swap, seems like it ought to but don't know about mounts and so forth.

Im slowly getting the motor cleaned up from the HEEP that's now a yard ornament (thats what the wife calls it...) I see money to recoup for the new parts im gonna need to get this motor installed..transfercase ,auto trans, and both axles should be worth a little to somebody needing them .
