I just acquired a 92 xj laredo, and I need some big time pointers on what to do to it. I'd like to start doing all of this stuff by myself, but I'd have to get help with any major stuff like.. welding haha.
I attached some pictures of it, the only major thing I see that I'd like to work on quicker rather than later are the rocker panels.. which are pretty rotted. For a 92 though it's not in bad shape.
just under 138k miles.
Any suggestions/help would be awesome. So glad to be back in a jeep

The floors not rotted YET, that's why I need to fix it!
Yeah, I gotta get some tires and a tie rod fixed first, but I was thinking lift after that. I'm thinking I'm going to force my dad to help me, because I'm pretty clueless haha.
Yeah 235/75/15s on it right now.

I don't really know how to do all of that, so I'd definitely need someone to help me if I was going to cut the fenders. I don't know how much flex room I'd need, or how much space I'd need for bigger tires, etc.
I cut mine this past weekend I had never done it before, thanks to people on this site I had no problembs. Look in xj writeups for directions. I cut and folded the rear and just cut the front. 31/10.50/15 fit nicely under mine. I used a jigsaw to do the cuttin'.

Well, mine are definitely rusted pretty bad, so I don't think some paint will cure that. I guess I'll just have to get the material, suck it up and hope i don't screw up somewhere!
