Alright! So here's a few things i've done lately. It seems to me that i've been putting all my effort into keeping this thing alive rather than having fun with it.
Here's what ended up happening with the yoke. Instead of buying a new one and having to redo the whole pinion. I just decided to see what'd happen if i welded the chunk back on, then welded the ujoint caps into their seats. and then buy new straps. strap em down. And weld them on too. And so far so good
I've been drivin' it every day for a couple weeks like this now! and no welds have broken!
So this is the chunk that broke off. It seems that it broke the yoke, then the u joint flipped around and ripped the strap off the other side too. and lost both the caps on the ujoint, and a couple u joint strap bolts. and bent straps

I had to buy a new u joint to use the caps too. Oh so much fun...
Then! I was leaking steady streams of oil from my valve cover... it just decided it was done keeping oil in for some reason. So i yanked it off. Threw a new gasket in. And said... what the hell. and painted it. And that's what's goin' on here. Adds some color too!

So that's all that's new! probably a ton more. But i'm headed back out to the garage to do fix more shiiiiiit.
