Need quick simple answer .on coils.

Need quick simple answer .on coils.
I got a set of TJ coils for free . And can not seem to be able to get just a simple answer online or anywhere without it getting drug out for miles.
So many mixed answers .
What will OEM TJ COILS DO TO A STOCK XJ.
DO YOU LOOSE
1/2" OR 1"
DO YOU GAIN
1/2" OR 1"
I DON'T NEED THE TJ x 3.14 + XJ = space nuts .
Just a simple response would be nice for once .
Looking to gain 1/2" to 1" . If they will then I'll give them to a friend that is looking just add that much to his XJ.
I gave him 1" add-a-leaf already .
He just needs a **** hair in front . To even out somewhat when he's pulling his boat.
He dose not have the funds saved for what he would like to buy and install. So no need in saying . Well just buy this and that new. He can not afford to do it in his current budget .
I would just like a flat out answer .
The TJ coils are in fact thicker then the XJ coils by more then half .
And if nothing else I have 2" pucks if it dose loose lift .
For thickness overall. The TJ coils are a lot heavier duty .
