So I go out to my jeep yesterday and notice a nice little puddle under my jeep. At first I thought it was a leaking hose or something. tried moving the spring loaded clamp. That didnt help. So I took it to a shop to see what it was. And Found that it was a leaking water pump just after having my friends dad help replace the radiator
Got a quote from the place. $252.10!!!!!!! WOW Its like a 30-45 dollar part! I have never done a water pump before and am not very mechanically inclined so I will have to find a way to replace it. SO frustrating. Im sure others have gone through stuff like this. The worst part is I cant get my friends dad or my dad to help. I'm 150 miles from them and I work almost everyday.
anyone got a write up on water pumps?

Got my new water pump and new thermostat in. Only had to remove the fan and power steering pump. Had one problem though. Didn't put the belt back on tight enough. Man that b*tch was squealing. I ran it and it was squealing bad and it was raining so I was trying to find somewhere to stop and tighten it and it died :/ weird. Not overheated. Then started right up after 2 minutes. Got the belt tightened and now it works fine. Anyone else have to tighten their belt really really tight???? Also my check engine light is on???

So went to autozone. Had them check my engine light. It said misfiring cylinder. Didn't know which cylinder. The guy said it could have been caused by my slipping belt. The light went off today and everything seems to be all good.

So I have been wanting to find a way to mount my fishing pole in the back of my jeep to always have it with me.
So I went to the hardware store and found those clips you use to hold up brooms/shovels.
So then I mounted that piece using a screw in the back that held moulding up.
Then used a Velcro strap to hold it to the rear handle.
What do you guys think?
I hit a lot of bumps and it didn't go anywhere. It's pretty solid in there. It could be that it is a cork rod handle. But its working great.
