My slow 98 build *Pics*
Tried putting a distributor cap on the other day and broke a bolt (how I messed it up idk), so after a few days of no luck, some 4 letter words, a lot of wasted penetrating oil, and a few visits from my girlfriends brother, I cut it off and drilled it and used a self tapper (don't judge me). Runs a whole lot better now. Old one was really corroded and had a crack. If only I had some gas I could drive it. Haha pics to come.
I also adjusted my kick down cable. Should help a little, sure did on my old 93 when I had it and it didn't have as much play as this one. Also seems as if my clunk noise went away. Time will tell
On a side note, I get paid Tuesday so ill prolly do a little modding. I'm thinking either
A. Upgrade head unit and install a sub, speakers can wait for now. I scrounged up a nice little classic Rockford Fosgate amp and a classic Rockford Fosgate 10" sub, might just make a cargo area sub box. One of the hide away ones in the side. Also took the JVC head unit out of my civic, just need a stereo install kit and a power and ground wire for the amp to install it.
B. Wait for one of you guys to tell me to go pick something cool up from a junkyard that I can install.
C. Save it for gas and and get some cool trail riding in with some pics.
D. Oil change and slight exhaust work.
E. Take my girlfriend out and let the jeep sit for 2 weeks.

No updates to post right now. Just been driving it a lot. Haha, my exhaust fell off the other day going down my road so I will have to weld that back up to the mounts. Other then that, no excitement
Exhaust is fixed with new mounts! That noise is gone now so it was my exhaust hitting the cross member for sure.
Hopefully somebody tunes into this, here's some stock flex pics to attract attention haha

Also got offered to trade for this

Kinda thinking about it as horrible as it sounds. It's worth 3 times as much as the wheeler I traded for this jeep. Don't get mad though, if I did I'd trade again for another jeep with less rust and maybe some cash so I can buy mods. Haha

The jeep build lives on, haven't done anything but didn't get rid of it. I did get rid of my civic though for the same eclipse. Should be a fun project. Ill take some good pics of the two together today. Here's one I snapped this morning.

Yeah I didn't care for the color much when I got it but it grew on me after I cleaned it really good the first time. I'm going to have to get a better job, I don't even make enough to keep gas in the jeep much less get any mods.
guess this is what I meant when I said slow build haha..
My next project is to fix some cracked wires that go to the front doors. Neither of the speakers work and the window switches work intermittently. Probably resolder it all and just splice the wires back together instead of redoing the whole harness.

I feel you there. I am in the same boat. Even if I had the money I don't have the time to do anything. maybe in a couple of weeks work will slow down and give me a break.

here's a pic of the two. Once they are both built how I want I should have a pretty fun garage.
