'95 XJ Expedition project
I picked up this 1995 XJ for $500 last year, with almost 250k on the odometer, and after smog issues, and breaking the rear exhaust manifold stud, I just decided to do a motor swap, and dig into the suspension. here's my progress so far.

Heres a couple more pics.
Iron Rock Cross over steering and track bar, only because I dont have a bender capable of bending 1.25" solid bar.
Painted it camo green (Olive Drab), and bed lined the bottom half. Trimmed the rear fenders (front this weekend), and installed a stereo and speakers, and CB. Stay tuned for the Roof rack and front and rear bumpers.

Your XJ is a twin to mine. Mine is painted the exact same way, but I'm going to go back to all black. I like mine all black better.
Forgot to add yours looks a lot better than mine too.

The original plan was to keep the top half of the jeep white, but when I got the donor doors on, I saw that they were two different shades of white. So then it was on to "plan B." I had a hard time choosing between this color, and a dark earth color. In the long run, I think I like this.

Since I last posted on this thread, I have added frame stiffeners, rock sliders, a roof rack, replace the trans, had lockers and gears installed, I replaced all u-joints, front brakes and new axle seals.
Also swapped the steering gear box out with a new Durango steering box, and made a spacer plate to replace the factory junk one.
I bought this jeep about a year ago, and I wrench on it on the weekends. Usually a project will take me about a day to complete (give or take), unless its something like the long arm kit. That was a couple weekends, between design and build out. I have done everything myself, except for the gears and lockers. Initally I was gonna do it, but after a little research, it was only a couple hundred dollars to have someone else do it. Money well spent. Haha!
Bumpers are next on the list, as well as getting the new Hunsaker suspension seats mounted, that have been sitting in my garage for the last 2 months. Lol!
Heres some more progress pics.

Nice work! I love to see when someone breathes new life into a vehicle.
What size tires are those?
