On another subject anyone think the Yukon or Superior axles are worth it at about $120 each to go in the 8.25 29 spline I have with currently 32's and a locker, and a goal of 34's? I am trading someone a set of 6.5" coils I have for 4.5"ers (currently only have 2" spacers), and will be doing a custom S10/XJ leaf pack, with more than likely iron man 4x4 fab short arms).

You're pretty much right to say the Rusty's conversion is meh; those "anti-roll" bushings between the TRE and knuckle will fail within 3-4months if you wheel regularly; then its loose steering city. Plus its obnoxious to adjust the damn thing without any hex features on the tubing; sucks to put channel locks on fresh powder coat.
I also hate how it rubs the trackbar bolt head when you turn hard over right; have you noticed that yet? Even that undersized bolt they send you doesn't solve the problem; not to mention you pick up slop in the track bar due to the bolt being undersized.
On another note, have you noticed contact with your diff cover when you turn hard over left? I've yet to put my Ruff Stuff cover on until I get some offset TRE's
Cool project but I wish I could have discouraged that Rusty's system before ya got it. Outside it being 0.25" wall DOM, its a junk design and I wish I never bought it.

Yeah I haven't had a problem with the bushings on the TRE's yet, they have been on there a while now, and now i'm knuckle over, so it doens't hit that dang bolt anymore, but yes mine did, and yes the way the designed it is not very good. I have the knuckles for a WJ swap so one day.....
^ good to hear. RC is a useless group. It's funny to talk to them about how poor their designs are. They just stay quiet as if to suggest you'll quite talking soon enough. Brilliant tactic...
so what about contact with the diff cover? My Ruff Stuff cover is approx. 0.75" taller than the stock cover; which would removed a decent amount of turning capability if I install it.
