That's your choice. On 6.5" it's highly recommended you get an SYE but like I said if you wanna cut corners that's on you bud

Suspension components will vary in slight differences based on whatever the Jeep has on it. Ask Lowrange, he had vibes at 3.5", SYE later he didn't. The more you lift it the more the slip yoke will slide out, under articulation too. You can get by with shims and a t case drop, key word is get by. Do you have a t case drop? That thing would have been ripped off my Jeep first time I went to Choccolocco. Then the debate of why drop the center section of the Jeep you just lifted? Typically, most output shafts of an SYE kit are 30% stronger than a stock shaft and configuration, too.

There are big differences in 96+ Jeeps when the output housing changed that will cause vibes, the axle yokes also have different lengths that will and can contribute to vibes.

I did an SYE on mine while my 4wd case and tranny were waiting to be swapped in. I run a front driveshaft front and rear, easy to carry spares, plus they're stronger than a stock POS driveshaft. Then again, I play on rocks

Question if I order a set of 6.5" coil springs for the front of my jeep would I need anything else or could I just install them and achieve more lift up front? Right now I have 4.5" springs. Was looking at these....

6.5"- long arms, shocks, extended brake lines, adj track bar, possible pitman arm drop (but wait to see). Possible sye and cv shaft. I don't know how much of this stuff you have already but that's the general list I think.

I got the drop Pittman arm, extended steel braided brake lines, shocks (that came w/ the 4.5" kit) ... Someone mentioned I could simply put the 6.5" springs in and that's it?

I mean if you have something to lift the back then yeah haha. Just remember you'll probably need an alignment afterwards unless you're just really good at doing your own alignments.

And you'll have to adjust your control arms and track bar when you put the new coils in.

Will be needing new tires in a few months. Thinkin about going with the DuraTracs. How good are they on road/off road and how's the tread life on them? Also these mud grapplers are loud as **** I want a quieter tire. How loud are the duratracs on the road?
