I just picked up this old 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport with a 5-Speed manual transmission, it's in really good condition except for the fact that it needs a driveshaft, does anyone know where I might be able to find one so I can get this thing up into the mountains?

depending on what your local market is looking like, marketplace and local you wrench yards is a good place to start. I have had good luck with car-part while out of state wheeling and needing a new rear driveshaft.

i couldn't tell you for sure but i don't think its likely. The XJ's had several length driveshafts from the factory depending on your drivetrain and engine size. Yours being a stick shift im sure changes the length you'd need vs an auto trans for example. Which shaft did you need btw? Front - Rear?

I need a rear driveshaft, I can't seem to find one anywhere. I found an automatic Rear driveshaft that appears to be the same length and diameter but I don't really know for sure

So I tracked down a drive shaft and a yoke to replace the one on my rear differential, but I'm having a lot of trouble taking off the nut that's holding the current yoke on the rear differential. I've tried using a breaker bar with WD-40 but haven't had any luck in removing the nut, tomorrow I will try using a impact gun to try and remove it, but if that doesn't work what else should I try? I've seen videos of people taking their rear drive shaft yokes off and they don't seem to be having as much trouble as I am, any help would be greatly appreciated
