It's getting there. Should be all finished later today or tomorrow. I have two more hoops to do yet. Then fully weld everything, then paint.

Nice build. Thinking of getting another xj eventually and chopping the back like that.

Thanks Schatty!

I drove the XJ to church today. Afterwards I went and got some groceries lmfao! There was another XJ there, so I had to park next to it and snap a pic lol.

Did you ever think of putting on some flares? Just for a cleaner look. YOur jeep is pretty clean but that's just something i would consider. I don't really know what i'm talking about though ha. Im just 16 and wishing i had a Jeep.

Rig looks beastly!! I think it is def. looking good.. and if I were to do any type of flare on there, it would def. be a tube type... but I don't think it really needs any type of flare...

andecase: Thanks man! I just popped out the rear windows and followed those lines with the sawzall. There are some wires that need to be cut when you chop it. I had to run new wire for the tail lights. Not that hard at all. But you must strenthen it back up somehow because the XJ is a unibody and when chopping, you loose a lot of rigidity. My way to strenghten was the cage lol.

cherokee.dreamer: Welcome to the site! Thanks for the suggestion, but I am not a flare guy. Plus, my axles are full width and they would have to be some HUGE flares lol.

bluedragon: Thanks man! Yeah the rear portion of the cage has like a mini rear tube fender. Phase 2 will have tubing running next to the front fenders and down to the stinger. But as far as full tube flares, yeah I am not thinking so lol. I am happy with how this is turning out and thanks again man.
