good idea but also oregon is a no salt state so rust does happen but not nearly as bad as some other states

Check for a thin metal tab on the diff cover of your 8.8.
It'll have a combination of letters and numbers that can tell you the gear ratio, and whether it's open carrier or LSD.
Failing that, lift the rear off the ground, and spin the left rear tire by hand.
Count the revolutions of the driveshaft for every one revolution of the tire, and you'll be close to your gear ratio.
For reference, most 8.8's came with 2.73 and 3.08, if it's cut down and built from an F150 or E series van. 3.08 and 3.73 if it came out of an Explorer.

There were other gearing options available, but these are the most common AFAIK.

So it has been a long time since i have posted on here and quite a bit of things have changed.

First off I was wheeling with some buddies and my tranny decided it didnt want to hold fluid anymore and i seem to have toasted it, so it needed to be fixed. I bought another Cherokee that run on 5 of the 6 cylinders but had a good trans and an actual lift. I paid $400 for it so that was a pretty good deal.

After i got that addressed i picked up some new set of 5 rims that are much more wide than what i had on there. paid $400

i Also got lucky and found this warn winch bumper on CL fro $250 and nothing wrong with it just needed a bit of paint.

So almost a year after i ruined my tranny i happened to destroy my motor. So i bought a new grand Cherokee from my buddy for $300. He bought it because it had an ax-15 that he wanted to put in hid other grand so all that was left was a good motor.

I put the rubicon express windshield stickers on my front fenders because i dont see to many xjs with stickers there. and it also seems ti really piss of wrangler owners.

Looks bad ass man, I hate how so many jk owners just write whatever on their fenders and then act like it's degrading to Rubicons when other jeeps do it. Anyway, do you mind going into some more detail on that RAD shifter, how and when do you use it, I like the idea of manually locking the torque converter. Nice build btw

I mainly got it to use in the snow and on steep climbs because i can keep it in first gear. It also comes in handy on the freeway because i can control when it shifts up and down and i can lock up the tc. It is a super simple set up, all i do is fli[ the inside switch that you see in the picture on and it turns on the shifter and the other switch is for the tc. you can also compression brake with it. all you do is put the jeep gear selector in 1-2 position and it will compression brake in first and second. If you put the jeep gear shifter in the 3 position it allows you to compression break in 2nd and 3rd gear. If you have any certain questions i will do my best to answer them
