Well to give ya a little back ground I just bought my 2001 Cherokee sport 4x4 last Friday. I was driving a 98 ZR2 2 door blazer which I liked a lot but on my way to taking my daughter to school on Dec. 7Th a high school student rear ended us doing about 50 as we were at a dead stop waiting for a couple cars to turn. He told the cop he was messing with the radio...LOL Well good thing was nobody seriously hurt except for my blazer and his car... both totalled. Being that I am a Youth Pastor I decided that picking up kids on Wed's and Sunday's would be a lot easier in a vehicle that was 4 door. That's how I ended up with the Cherokee. Not a lot of room but a little more than before plus fun on weekends that are free to do some wheeling.
When I bought it the guy had just installed some new wheels with 235/75r15 Kumho road venture tires and a new radiator.
With the larger tires on it the first time I picked up 3 kids for youth a couple HS students and a middle school it was making the rear end sag and aloud the tires to rub so.... in comes the Rough Country 3 inch lift with full rear leaves along with 9000 shocks and stabilizer...
A buddy of mine from church is helping me with the install at his shop tomorrow night so I will try and take pics along the way...
Future plans:
Roof Rack so we can put our snow shovels on when the youth and I clear driveways for people in town that need it.
Thinking about a Rugged ridge front bumper that I found on craigslist new in box for 100 bucks but don't know if it'll work says works on Cherokee's up to 1995 and mine is a 01...
After tires get worn I'll prob get some 30(or31)-10-50's tires
Here are a few shots as it sits...
Thanks Gary
