Was just viewing some posts. Yeah I wish they still made these "XJ" And kept them the same without changing them, like they did to the Grand Cherokee. Although the Commander looks like a larger size of the XJ. http://www.netcarshow.com/jeep/2007-...llpaper_08.htm

Hahaha yeah things are getting busy up at school and I don't have anytime when I'm home to work on it. Hopefully I'll be getting the rest together soon at least what's still in my garage. Then a new exhaust will follow so I can pass inspection and a winch bumper probably over the summer so I can finally mount my winch.

Well after all the recent rain I found I still have a leak issue and my driver's side carpet is soaked so I'll be tearing that out probably on Saturday. Might start it on Friday if I'm back from Atlantic City while it's still light out.

I think it's coming in from behind the dash somewhere. I re-siliconed under the weather stripping of the windshield and even cleaned out under the cowl where most people say it comes in from. Still a mystery. I don't want to have to pull the whole dash out though.

On a side note I'll be getting home from school on Saturday so hopefully I can Herculine the floors and track down some spray on vinyl to spray the backs of the carpeting once I pull them out. Also got an idea from my boat the other day. My boat has snap in carpets so I can pull them out when we fish. Figured the same kind of thing could be applied to my rig. Snap it in for daily use and pull it out for wheeling. Seems like a good idea just not sure how I'll do it yet.
Also got to give it a bath because it looked pretty bad then gave it a drink at the local gas station lol It was thirsty.

Lookin real good! On your floors, I run my jeep doorless a lot and got caught in the rain once terribly. After 2 weeks, my carpet (really the Jute/insulation underneath wouldnt dry. SO....
I peeled all of the Jute off of the back of the carpet and attempted running without it.... Long story short, in the summer... the heat sucked!!!! But, I didnt want to put anything that would retain water back in it if it got wet. Carpet alone will dry out fast so long as it can breath (which is very important, i dont know if i would vinyl spray yours!!)
I went to lowes and bought a big role of that foil/air bubble insulaton and cut it to fit my floor. It cant hold water, it isnt something that is sealed, so it can breath... and it is separate from my carpet, so it allows it to dry out fast when it gets wet!!! it was only like 30$ for a roll, and one roll allowed me to put TWO layers down.
Does betterthan the factory Jute for keeping heat out and it is comparable with keeping sound out!
My other option was going to be buy a vinyl floor like what came in police package XJ's but after seeing a few I realized that the floors get wet underneath the vinyl, and where they can't breath, it seems to drastically increase the risk of the floors rotting out!
