Well I decided to take everyone's advice on the wheels. I ended up going with black functional beadlock wheels and painted the locking rings to match the jeep (easily touched up with spray paint when they get scratched on the trail).

I will post pics when I get the wheels installed. Haven't had the time to go to a tire shop to get the tires taken off the old rims. I will let everyone know how manually mounting the tires in my driveway goes.

sadly not yet...n_a_i_w has a guy here in town who is an awesome fabricator and made the sliders for his jeep. Those same sliders will be going on my jeep towards the beginning of the year. I also have a few other plans for the jeep in January which I will post pics of the installs and upgrades as they come. As long as my work bonus comes through by then these upgrades a definite thing.

beads look great man. But I see a problem. There is not a slot cut out for the stem. Can you reach the stem or no?

Two of them have a metal stem that is pre bent inward so that is accessable and the other two have a rubber stem that you can bend to get to them. Kind of a pain but not that big of deal

Well yesterday I went on craigslist and got a set of tires to put on my old rims for street driving.

Who knew 35s would look so small ha ha. Next step is mounting the tires on the beadlocks. I messed around with it a bit yesterday and the bead on those superswampers is so thick, its going to be very difficult to get them to slide over the rim without a tire machine. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Well I finally got the new bead locks mounted...NOT AN EASY TASK. Luckily n_a_i_w came over and helped me out which definitely saved a ton of time. Here are some of the pics. The bb balancing does work very well. They make a little noise at slow speeds, but are barely noticeable.
