Its a dual steering stabilizer set up. I put it on cuz I was 17 and thought it was "cool". Later on it got smashed on a rock so I just got rid of it. To be honest it was really unnecessary and a steering stabilizer is more of a bandaid than a fix to steering problems anyway. It didn't really change the way it drove.

I think it looks bad *** and would equal out the unbalanced front shock system.

It looks cool but is very unpractical. Plus there is nothing unequal about one steering stabilizer. They have equal valving on compression and extension so one stabilizer is more than enough and sometimes overkill

The 5th! shock is what causes "death wobble" sorry man look it up or google it.

There is a good description on this thread about the causes and solutions to death wobble.

So true! Of course what else would you expect out of a bunch of lawless rule breaking off roaders! Al Gore probably has no steering stabilizers, but if he did it would be ok because he donates to the Sierra Club, so it offsets his bad judgment. (Sorry, in a sarcastic mood, the tree huggers *issed me off this week)

On our website you can't purchase anything because we don't sell directly to DIYers, we only sell to large direct accounts. All of the Rancho line can be purchased through many online and retail stores. Many of which are 4wheelparts, quadratec, desert rat etc. Your best bet is to google it. Let me know if you have any more questions about Rancho, I'd be glad to help.
You need to do a little more research my friend. Death wobble is caused by out of geometry/worn steering and suspension components. The most common cause is a worn out track bar bushing on the axle end. This paired with worn out tie rod ends will increase the effects of death wobble. There are many causes, but that is the most common. A steering stabilizer shock is put on to reduce the effects of worn out parts. Therefore it is a bandaid solution to death wobble, not a cause of death wobble. The best way to reduce/eliminate death wobble is to ensure that all components are in good condition with the proper geometry, this would eliminate the need for a steering stabilizer shock in the first place.

Downsides of the five-link suspension were asymmetrical braking and steering, described in Evan Boberg’s book. Suspenion engineer Bob Sheaves wrote that there was no way to eliminate these issues in a five-link design; “You can move the effect around in the performance envelope, you can raise or lower the speed where the driver loses control of the vehicle, you can minimize the effects in one area (but lose the control outside that band). ... An independent system, a 4 link, even a 3 link does not have this issue. They do have other issues, but not the cause of ‘death wobble’ and the brakes pulling the direction of the vehicle out of the intended path.”- AllPar.com
I understand everything else you are saying and I am not trying to argue with you, just relax and enjoy your Jeep!
