My first 92 XJ Build
92 XJ 4.0, 5spd, Laredo, 3 inch Rough Country Lift, 31 x 10.5 BFG's
92 XJ 4.0, 5spd, Laredo, 3 inch Rough Country Lift, 31 x 10.5 BFG's, American Eagle 187 Alloys, Magnaflow Exhaust.
The rims make a BIG difference. I wish I had a pic of what it used to look like when it was stock. I've grown very attached to this vehicle. It's not 4WD but I LOVE this car. It gets me through the trails out in Barstow every time. I don't do rock crawling or bogging, but I do love to see an XJ Hauling @$$ through the desert!!
Next up: Roof Rack, Front & Rear bumpers and New Rear axle.
I think I'm addicted now...

Nice build so far. It doesn't have to be 4WD if it can meet your needs with only 2WD. Glad to see somebody else who loves their Jeep too.
What bumpers are you looking at?

I love the RC lift. But since I have 31s, I get alot of rubbing (30s would be best) Go an extra half inch (3.5) or 4.5 inches, longer shakle and front spacer, I'll be doing that soon. It's real easy to install and your XJ will look pretty sweet. Cheers!

the 3 " shouldnt be a problem
it shouldn't be a problem if u do minor fender trimming , i got 31"s on a stock cherokee right now , and the fenders were trimmed mad with a grinder . im going to get a 4.5 rubicon and 33s . if ya don't mind fender trimms and a lil body work 31s with a 3" should be fine.

2WD is fine if it meets your needs thats great. Just keep in mind you can make it 4WD with very little money and its pretty much a direct bolt in.

I went with the add a leaf. I haven't had much time to upgrade the lift. Recently installed a Rustys Off Road Adjustable Track Bar to center the beam under the car. This weekend Im replacing my tie rods and ball joints.
