I didn't say nicer AND cheaper. Either or. not both You want a really cheap bumper? build it yourself. free labor, just the cost of materials.

Okay just making sure I wasn't missing out on some deal since I've been looking for bumpers for a while now

Yeah easily. The welds are really strong, and it's out of thick 2"x2" square tube.

Even bouncing around offroad? I don't know much about tire carriers as I don't have or plan to get one.

Yeah the guy even guaranteed it. So if I do decide to go higher with 35"s and it breaks he said he would fix it for free.

most of the time the issues with the swing out tire carriers is how they mount. did it just use the 4 stock bolt holes on each side or did it mount into the "frame"?

also it may just be the pic but it looks like the bumper sticks out a good distance on each side compared to the body

It's mounted using the 8 bumper mount holes. And it doesn't really stick out that far at all.

Hey guys. So I've been really busy recently, but I'm going to work on my rig tomorrow and post some pics. A quick question. Does anyone know where I can get brackets to tie in the rear bumper to the frame, preferably the tow hitch mounting points?

how does your rear view mirror work? bilt my own bumper and swing out, kept it low and with the drop reciever trailer coupling not an issue and i can even use my mirror. behind the original bumper mounts you can open up the frame so to speak to put in a nut strip to use the trailer hitch mounting holes to add brackets to your bumper. did that when i bilt mine 5yrs ago and been pullin drunk hillbillies and there stuck 1/2 bow tie P.O.S.'s ever since.

Thanks guys. I will look up that bracket build. And my mirror doesn't work at all anymore. I wanted to build my own, but I just don't have the time right now. I am hooking up a wireless camera so that I have some coverage of the rear for off roading and pulling a trailer.
