Default My 98 xj- Carl

I've been just wandering through threads and finally decided to to a build thingy and my first post!

I got this here XJ a while ago, it was around April.

Pretty nice, the guy who had it before me said it was his first car, it has 115k miles and 0% rust because it was in Cali its whole life. He was also in the military and it sat for about 6 years.

Ordered some fans and hood vents to help keep it from overheating and it makes a good window defroster.

My dad and I went and did some Jeepin' after school.

One summer later... I finally got enough saved up to order my lift, RE 3.5 inch Super-Flex kit.

I also got the new tires finally, came on a semi and a pallet

We have been slowly doing the cut and fold, front is done, and back will be done sometime today or tomorrow.

Carl is finally grown up, lol.

And this weekend I'll be doing the West Rim Trail in the Trail Hero event, and whenever I get time, I'll be replacing pretty much the entire cooling system.

Nice setup you got!! Your dad has a nice rig as well. Looking forward to seeing your continued progress on this Jeep. What year is it? What size tires did you buy?

Its lifted, big tires and white. I like it! You are off to a great start.

BTW - What is this event you are going to? I am going to be near St George for the weekend. Is the event going to be down there?

Thanks. It is the Trail Hero event.
It will be mostly in Hurricane, but the trails are at Sand Hollow.

Awesome! That will be close to where I am staying. I was planning on stopping by Sand Hollow on Sunday. Hopefully its not too crazy cause of the event.

Do the fans in the hood actually make a difference in temps?

The fans help a bit, I did notice it help a few degree yesterday when I was out crawling, the intake cools faster though because one fan is right on top of it. They make good window defrosters too.

Default Trail Hero Run

So I decided to last minute sign up for the Trail Hero Run, had a Blast and got some minor rock damage.
Also, going to start changing headlights and other exterior lights to LED on the next payday and a single row 50 inch led bar.
